Starting My Blockchain Developer Journey

Hello everyone,

I have been a heavy user of the internet for over 20+ years of my life, but I have not dived deep into blogging or vlogging for that matter. However, I have an extensive amount of technical experience regarding web development and all things that power it, such as DNS, Cloud Computing, and DevOps, just to name a few.

I believe the best way for someone to learn is for them to teach the material as opposed to just receiving it and hoping their brain will remember everything. So, as you can guess, the reason why I’m starting to blog and write articles related to blockchain and cryptocurrency is for.

  1. To retain information.
  2. To help others who are thinking of starting their journey as a blockchain developer.

I’m currently taking the Blockchain Developer Nanodegree from Udacity as I have taken their courses from them before, and I feel like they offer more of a community and hands-on support than other online learning sites that just hand you videos and exercises.

I also happened to be an independent contractor for them, so my experience maybe a bit bias but know that I have dabbled into other e-learning sites such as Udemy, KhanAcademy, SkillShare etc. and I feel like Udacity has a bit more of an advantage regarding connections to the software/tech industry and find their content material a bit more organized and informative. I know their programs may be a bit high compared to other e-learning sites, so I would usually wait until they offer a promotion with a discount between 50%–75%, which they usually do every 3–4 months.

This Blockchain developer program is said to last 5 months on average, but I’m hoping to get this done within 4 as this is when my promotional offer ends and re-extending it is a bit too pricey. Nonetheless, I’m very excited about joining the program, and I’m set on writing more articles and blogs regarding my journey and this industry!

If you have any questions regarding this program or would like to learn more about my experience, please feel free to leave a comment and I will make sure to get back to you.

If you are feeling generous and would like to support me, you can do so by sending any amount to my Bitcoin wallet.
